Hello, Years ago, I got a postcard from a comicbook artist/ musician
by the name of Brian Chippendale that had the words "Glitter Limes"
written on it. in addition to a stylized silkscreen of a monkey
on it. I had no context for what the words meant, but they stuck
in my mind and kinda became a default phrase I would say in amazement
or surprise. One morning I was walking back from the recording studio
after a all-night recording session when I saw the moon setting
on the skyline and I declares, "Glitter limes!" as sight was quite
hansome. Then the words "glitter", "limes", "morning", and "moon"
started dancing around in my head and forming a synthpop song. Much
later I saw Brian Chippendale at a concert with his band the lighting
bolts and I noticed he had a glimmering shimmering citrus slice
on his wrist, I asked him about it after the show and he said something
about a person who made them and how they were neat, but I was pretty
drunk, so I kinda forgot what the name was. So I guess that was
you? Anyway, the CDR is normally $10, but do you think maybe I could
trade you for a glitterlime?
Warm regards,
Robert Syrett

"What I need to tell you about it besides the nice aspects of the
secluded waterfront area, the towering beige warehouse wall that
was the backdrop to the stage like we were assembled behind the
Walmat store, and the melancholic cloud shrouds that hid the city
was Ive been wearing the starfruit basically every day just switching
it from my different shoulders. And anybody who talks to me just
looks at where it is and covets. When the damp light faded and the
orange street lamps lit up, Chippenbolt started playing and the
surge crowded and it was so dreamy until afterwards where it had
been on my shoulder was just two scorched holes. When the music
fans dispersed I searched and combed the lot, then the earth, up
along the beaches and into the thicket, under the mud huts, inside
the lonely giant icecaps, down through the blowholes of the spotted
whales and it was nowhere around. It could only have been obliterated
in a bass cloud is the one explanation. Devin thought it was alright
that it happened during the show because the music and the glitter
fused and died together and that anyway all GL products are insured
against Lightning Bolt shows. So this is what I humbly represent
to you just as I submitted it to the police. You can ask anybody.
Dont be swayed by past knowledge or wisdom when you choose my punishment."

I saw your lemon necklaces in a shop in Orinda, CA. The store was closed but I
looked through the window and saw your name. I absolutely LOVE them. The reason
I am emailing you is that my grandmother owns a lemon ranch in Santa Paula, CA.
She is wonderful woman, who is now 92. She and my late grandfather have owned
the ranch for 50 years and it is a very special place for us. The ranch will most
likely be sold to developers when she passes. I am wondering if you would consider
making some custom necklaces, if I provided the lemons from the ranch for my family?
That way I could memorialize the lemons in some way.
Thanks,

| Well, I have to share this story because it illustrates the
power of persistence and how things come full circle? My best
friend Melanie was on Nantucket Island last summer and saw a glitterlime
bracelet on a woman walking by. Melanie & I make quite
a spectacle of one another's birthday and spend all year searching
for really cool, thoughtful gifts for one another (we've known each
other for 45 years). Anyway, she follows this woman into store
after store trying to get her attention and finally inquires as
to where the woman found such a cool bracelet. "My
friend is an artist and I have to find one of those for her birthday!".
The glitter lime woman did not know where it was purchased since
it was a gift from a friend, but vowed to try and find out if Melanie
would give her an email address. One month later Mel heard
back from the woman and the only detail she had was that the bracelet
was bought in an art gallery in Minnesota! Mel researched
every gallery and finally found the one selling the bracelets...she
shipped one to me for my birthday and I FLIPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So...how's that for love? Then...I was in NYC at the Gift
Show trying to find inspiration for jewelry designs for my business
and guess who's booth I happened by? GLITTERLIMES!!!
I couldn't believe it....I told Debbie the story and she said I
should write. I think these pieces are good luck...Ciao!

Hi there,
First, let me begin by saying that I am a big fan of glitter limes--i absolutely
love your products.
My fiance and I are planning our wedding for next summer
and we are planning on a citrus theme and I would love
to have my bridesmaids wear your bobby pins in their hair. I
see on your website that you have limequats and key limes available as
bobby pins, but i wanted to know if you have any oranges that
can be made into bobby pins as well.My bridesmaid dresses are
orange so I am trying to keep everything one color if possible.
Thank you so much for your time!!!

Hi Debbie,
My name is Anne Sokol. I ordered a lime bracelet from you last week.
I have a couple questions regarding the sale. I wanted to know how
long shipping usually takes. Due to the fact that I am doing a school
project on your jewelry. I go the Creative Circus in Atlanta. We were
asked to choose a company that had alot of creativity. My partner
and I chose glitterlimes and are now trying to buy items to show the
product and to show what market glitterlimes has. Just thought I would
let you know. I love your jewelry so much! I would really appreciate
an estimate on how long it takes to for your product to arrive. Thanks
so much! anne sokol |
| Hey there...
Okay, here is my Glitterlimes Story that happened just TODAY!
Well, it kind of goes back a while...back to a year or so ago when
I was living in LA and first saw your Glitterlimes online...I wanted
one then, but I guess the time wasn't right, or I was too stressed
out, or whatever...but it didn't happen. Fast forward to July this
year when I moved up to SF (after being away for 5 years) to go
back to school - exciting...fast forward again to just last Friday
when I was having dinner at that Ethiopian place on Valencia with
some friends and ran into my old friend Katherine...and she had
a Glitterlime on...I got really hot for it and told her how much
I wanted one and she said that she knows you and you live just down
the street...
I resolved to look them up online again, but then got all freaky
with school and promptly forgot...
Then, this morning after having a hideous conversation with the
bank and being in a really shitty mood, I went to Scrap to buy some
foamcore for a presentation WOW!). The day was looking better when
I walked in and the ScrapCat meowed back at me...so that was nice...I
found my boards ...And then...she moved a paper on the desk and
in a shallow box under it filled with lots of scraps of jewelry
and stuff...WAS A GLITTERLIME!!! I shrieked and asked how much it
was and was so fucking thrilled that it just appeared right in front
of me..of course I bought it and put it on IMMEDIATELY!
Anyhow...it now is well loved,
YEAY!!!!
